After a hearty breakfast and enjoying the scenic mountain views, drive to the nearby town of Poolna. From Poolna, begin your trek to Ghangaria. The well-defined trail takes you through lush green forests and along the beautiful Lakshman Ganga River. Along the way, you’ll come across volunteers who diligently maintain the trail, making it clutter-free for trekkers.
As you ascend gradually, you’ll cover a distance of 9 km and reach Ghangaria, a charming village surrounded by mountains.
Check into your hotel, explore the surroundings, and enjoy a delicious dinner of local cuisines before calling it a day.
After breakfast, embark on an exciting day as you trek to the enchanting Valley of Flowers.
At an altitude of 3,505m, this paradise showcases a riot of vibrant colors with its diverse and colorful array of flowers.
Take your time to soak in the beauty of this natural wonder that will undoubtedly leave you spellbound.
Continue your ascent to explore further into the valley and witness thousands of flowers in full bloom. However, make sure to start your return trek to Ghangaria in a timely manner to reach before dusk.

Get an early start to your day and enjoy a hot cup of chai as you listen to the melodious bhajans chanted by the devotees.
The trek to Hemkund Sahib is a bit challenging, with steep ascents, and using a trekking stick can be helpful.
Take frequent breaks to acclimate to the reduced oxygen levels at higher altitudes.
Hemkund Sahib is a revered religious site where Guru Gobind Singh is said to have meditated in his previous life. The place is surrounded by seven snow-capped mountains and a crystal-clear Hemkund lake, providing a tranquil and serene setting.
After spending time at the religious site, begin the steep descent back to Ghangaria, keeping an eye on the weather, which can be unpredictable with sudden cloud cover and rain.
Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Ghangaria.
Enjoy breakfast in the morning before starting your easy descent of 9 km back to Poolna on the same trail you trekked on earlier.
From Poolna, a cab will take you back to Joshimath, which is 26 km away.
If you wish, you can take a tour of the beautiful Auli in the evening.
Return to the hotel in Joshimath for an overnight stay.
